An Oromocto First Nation organization

Connection. Culture. Community.

We provide alternative housing and wraparound supports to Indigenous children, youth, and families across the Fredericton and Oromocto region of New Brunswick.

About

A place to live.
People who care.

When a child, young person, or family needs a safe place to live and consistent support, we provide both — for as long as it's needed.

Our staff do the daily work of stability: getting those we support to school and appointments, helping them build routines, supporting them through difficult moments, and creating space for them to grow. It's skilled, demanding work that requires showing up reliably, day after day.

What we do

Care for every
kind of situation.

No two people we support arrive with the same needs. The work is to meet each one where they are — with the right home, the right people, and the right level of support.

01

Protection

When a young person can't safely stay where they are, we provide a home and the staff to care for them — for days, for years, or anything in between.

02

Least Disruptive Measures

When a family needs to stay together but needs help to do so safely, we offer housing and people who can guide caregivers in building the skills they need.

03

Post-Majority Support

For young adults who've grown up in care, we provide continued support — housing, mentorship, and the steady presence of people who can help them step into independence.

04

Adult Foster Care

For adults living with significant challenges, we provide a home, a routine, and the day-to-day support that lets them live with dignity and stability.

Other services

Support that extends
beyond the home.

01

Transportation

Reliable, professional transportation to appointments, school, family visits, and anywhere else the people we support need to go.

02

Respite

Short-term care that gives families and primary caregivers a planned break — with the same consistent support our longer placements provide.

03

Supervised Visits

Monitored visits in safe, structured settings — observed and documented with care and discretion.

04

Supervised Family Visits

Structured visits between clients and family members, including complex or court-ordered arrangements, with thorough reporting.

05

Professional Visits

Accompaniment to medical, dental, and other professional appointments — and the support to navigate them.

06

Mentorship

One-on-one mentorship for clients who benefit from consistent, positive engagement — through activities, life skills, and real connection.

Working with us

We invest in the people
who do this work.

What we look for

  • Steadiness under pressure. The ability to stay calm, kind, and clear when things get difficult.
  • Reliability the people we support can feel. Showing up, on time, every time.
  • Cultural humility. Openness to Indigenous worldviews, and a willingness to keep learning.
  • Clear communication. Writing what happened on shift in a way that's accurate and clear.
  • A willingness to grow. Many of our staff move into senior roles. The path is real for those who want it.

What we offer

  • Competitive wages, with regular reviews and shift differentials where applicable.
  • Benefits for full-time staff, including health, dental, and an employee assistance program.
  • Paid training and certifications — FASD, ASIST, non-violent crisis intervention, and more, completed on the clock.
  • Real support. Senior staff are reachable, the systems are built, and you're not figuring it out alone.
  • Flexible scheduling across full-time, part-time, casual, and overnight roles.
  • Work that matters, alongside colleagues who take it seriously.
